Watertown, South Dakota, is turning vision into reality. The Watertown City Council has selected 292 Design Group to help them create a new ice arena for their community.

The proposed arena will include two sheets of ice, seating for 1,500 spectators, and gathering space that can be used by the community. One goal of the project is to create a big arena experience with amenities such as club level seating and suites. The arena will also be designed to support tournaments and junior level hockey. The proposed project will be constructed in an undeveloped area of the city and will spur future development.

Tom Betti—a 292 partner who specializes in ice facility design—spoke with Steve Jurrens of KXLG 99.1 about 292’s experience, associated team members B32 Engineering Group and Nelson-Rudie & Associates, and potential arena amenities.
