Holy Family Academy is a Catholic school founded in 2001. The school offer programs to more than 230 students, from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. 292 worked with Academy leadership to design a building addition that provides more space in support of the school’s academic, recreational, administrative and community needs.
The new, two-story addition nearly doubles the square footage of the existing, three-story facility. New academic spaces within the addition include classrooms for pre-k, kindergarten and first grade. New recreation spaces include a gymnasium for athletics such as fencing, basketball and soccer. A stage allows the space to be used for school functions such as graduation and performances. The large gym space can also accommodate community gathering such as pancake breakfasts. New administrative spaces include meeting rooms and a parish library.
One goal of the addition was to preserve outdoor space including a playground area. New spaces with large windows are oriented to provide greater access to natural light and views outside.
