292 Design Group has worked with RJM on three of their office renovations. This renovation, two floors within the 1911 Loose-Wiles Building in Minneapolis’s North Loop, was designed to accommodate their rapidly growing business and to reflect the company’s open-book client philosophy. RJM and 292 re-planned the space so that meeting and work areas were visually transparent. A two-story, multi-media space with stair/bleacher seating was located in the center of the office, physically connecting the company’s two-level workspace. Natural light was a priority for meeting, work and employee spaces.
The interior design plays off the industrial nature of the building. Brick walls were exposed and the original hardwood floors were refinished. The new finishes — glass partitions, sandblasted and polished steel flooring, and ash millwork and ceiling panels — was a contemporary contrast to the older building materials.
